The male voice through out the song creeps me out a bit, but overall it's a good song. It reminds me of 300 with the Eastern sounding melody.

I found my self bouncing around to the beat in my chair, and I actually didn't notice until my mother asked what I was doing. That's how catchy this song is--it gets into your subconcious!

To be quite honest I'm not an expert in Dance music by any means, and thus I don't really know what to critique. To me it sounds very catchy and very good. Excellent job.

The piano melody, clear and inspiring, is absolutely stunning. The entire song is a well composed piece with beautiful melodies, wonderful blending of sounds, and absolutely wonderful. Everyone should take a minute to listen to "The Promise".

"Nothing that impressive."

To be quite frank, there's nothing that impressive on this song. There is an odd almost buzzing sound (I don't know if that's my sound system or if it's suppose to part of the song or what) throughout the entire song that grinds on my nerves. A positive, however, is that the beat is very catchy and easy to get into. The male voice that appears is rather odd, like it was forced to integrate with the rest of the song but didn't really fit.

The drum beat muffles everything else in the song, and has a grating effect on my ears. Also, the beat seems to be slightly off when compared against the other intruments, creating this very odd rhythm that can't be easily followed. The essence of most techno is a hypnotic beat that simply binds the listeners, which this song lacks. To improve take out some of the drum (or at least soften it) and get the rhythms aligned.

"Decent indeed..."

For almost the first minute I was completely befuddled by the "Heavy Metal" label. However, listening to the transition into the guitars and drums, I realized how much these instruments were emphasized by their contrast to the single instrument in the intro. Pretty good overall.
